Allie had her first trombone lesson last night! First you have to give the trombone a bath:

We have SOUND!!!
So we've convinced Al that maybe trombone might actually be fun. And it's LOUD - so that helps. It was a great time for Doug and Al together. It's something he can help her with. Tonight I go and meet with Mr. Gallagher, the music teacher. She's only one of two girls in the 6th grade band this year. So wish us luck. I think we're going to need it. And ear-plugs for the first few months anyway.
